Screen Solutions acquire new premises

Already Europe’s largest independent screen manufacturer, Screen Solutions has further expanded its activities, taking on an additional unit on the Meridian Industrial Estate in Peacehaven.

The addition of the 14,700 sq ft unit is part of an expansion and diversification strategy which will see Screen Solutions launching a number of new products throughout the course of 2009. The acquisition of this unit makes Screen Solutions the largest employer on the Meridian Estate as well as being one of the largest employers in the Brighton area. It is also re-launching its website and increasing the number of geographies it trades in internationally.

Dan Valovin, Managing Director of Screen Solutions, says he feels proud to continue to be a key employer within the Brighton region, demonstrating that manufacturing on shore in the current climate is possible. ‘You just need the right people, a good product and a real desire to deliver excellence both in terms of product and service’, says Dan.

This positive attitude is reflected in Screen Solutions’ mission statement: ‘To consistently exceed our customer’s expectations’. Actions taken over the last year to support this philosophy include heavy investment in its lean approach to manufacturing, its product range and its team.

Screen Solutions has always had an ethos of responsible trading and as a testament to this it has received ‘Investors in People’ and ISO14000 accreditations. It also retains good working links with the local community.

This commitment to responsible trading was reinforced when in 2008 it launched the markets first fully recyclable screen range called Element. This now sits under a sub brand called Re-Live and Screen Solutions are working hard to move more of their existing systems under this brand thus continuing its ethos of responsible manufacturing.

Screen Solutions sells through trade routes and its customer base includes a number of the worlds’ largest office furniture manufacturers such as Steelcase, Knoll International, Kinnarps and Bene. Their products sit in many large multinational companies such as BT, Deloitte and Touche, Lloyds TSB, Network Rail, Columbia Pictures, Legal & General, BAE, BP, Balfour Beatty, Chubb, Bank Of America, Waitrose, Arup, Mercedez Benz, Apple, EDF, Goldman Sachs, Nokia, Virgin Atlantic, Barclaycard, BBC, Royal & Sun Alliance, GlaxoSmithKline.
