Working with us: acoustics

The evolution of the open-plan office may have made it easier for communication and teamwork to flourish, but has brought with it issues of privacy and concentration. This is particularly true in contemporary offices where hard, reflective surfaces can regularly be found.

Adding screens to these environments helps breakdown noise or contain it within specified areas helping to maintain appropriate levels of acoustic privacy. Fabric screens with our acoustic internal treatment absorb sound more readily than the standard products with their reflective surfaces and by choosing them at a suitable height; they also allow visual privacy to be controlled. Alternatively you may want to create a room within a room with our unique pods, ideal for meetings, training or any use where privacy is required.

The most effective way to reduce noise is by absorption and blocking, leaving reflected and transmitted noise to a minimum.

The positioning of the screen in relation to the noise source and receiver will determine the acoustic efficiency of the screen.
